Is Zelviq HACCP software?+
Not in the sense of writing and maintaining your HACCP plan. Zelviq holds the records a HACCP programme relies on: receiving and supplier lot evidence, quality holds and releases with reasons, expiry control, and full traceability. Many manufacturers keep their plan and CCP monitoring in a dedicated tool or on documented forms, and use Zelviq for the lot record underneath.
Does Zelviq replace a food safety management system?+
It replaces the spreadsheets most manufacturers use for lot control, holds and traceability. It is not a full FSMS covering training records, sanitation schedules and supplier audits.
How does a lot hold work?+
Any available lot can be placed on hold with a reason. While held, it cannot be picked, consumed in production or shipped. Releasing it needs another deliberate action, and both the hold and the release are kept with the person and the time.
Where do certificates of analysis live?+
Attached to the vendor lot captured at receiving, so the COA and the material it certifies stay together for the life of the lot.
